England names 12-man squad for Sydney Test
Ahead of the 5th and final Ashes Test in Sydney, England has named its starting 12-man squad.
With pace bowler Gus Atkinson being ruled out for the remainder of the series with a hamstring injury, his spot has been replaced by fellow pace bowler Matthew Potts.
Potts has not played for the visitors since their tour to New Zealand in 2024, but has shown some consistency with the games he has played for the England Lions.
Spinner Shoaib Bashir has also been selected in the team, with the 22-year-old yet to feature for England during this series.
The Fifth Test will take place at the Sydney Cricket Ground from January 4 (tomorrow), with SEN having live coverage of every ball bowled through its radio network and on the SEN app.
The first ball is to be bowled at 10:30am (AEDT).
