Nathan Buckley and Gerard Whateley have named their top four seeds following Round 14 of the 2025 AFL season.
Buckley and Whateley will each rank the four teams they have the most confidence in going forward on a weekly basis throughout the year.
The seedings will be updated as the season goes on via SEN’s Whateley.
See the seedings below:
BUCKLEY
1 – Collingwood
“Collingwood are still at one for me.”
2 – Geelong
“And I think their (Collingwood’s) greatest challenge is going to come from Geelong, so they’re at two.”
3 – Brisbane
“I’ve got Brisbane at three.
“I don’t have fears for Brisbane, and I think they will be there in the last couple of weekends when the whips are cracking.”
4 – GWS
“For my fourth seed, the Bulldogs were there last week.
“Hawthorn beat an Adelaide side who I think have got bona fides for that, Suns are thereabouts, and then the Giants.
“And I am going to put the Giants in as four seed, because I don’t want to look back at my Round 14 seedings, out of who I think is at their best and they are the girl with the curl at the moment.
“Their best footy is absolutely exciting, but there is just something not quite right.
“But you know what, maybe Adam Kingsley and his staff have got a handle on it, and they’ll tighten those screws between now and finals because their best is bloody good.”
WHATELEY
1 – Collingwood
2 – Geelong
3 – Brisbane
4 – Hawthorn
Whateley: “I had a straight play-in game for four, so that panned out nicely, so Adelaide get displaced by Hawthorn.
“My three are the same.”
Buckley: “So you move Brisbane from two to three.”
Whateley: “Yep, but I want to have the two-three (Geelong v Brisbane) game Friday night.”
Buckley: “I think we’re in for a cracking end of the year.
“But I don’t have Collingwood as far out as everyone, I think the margins are a lot smaller.”
