Kane Cornes and David King have gone head-to-head over the behaviour of Port Adelaide's Jason Horne-Francis against his former club North Melbourne.
The 21-year-old was full of emotion all game, sparking a melee after being involved in a scuffle with Roos captain Jy Simpkin, leading to a double 50m penalty and goal.
After that incident occurred late in the third term, coach Ken Hinkley reined in the youngster at the break. Horne-Francis went to turn away from the coach during his address before he was pulled back by Zak Butters and Connor Rozee, who were also trying to calm their midfield teammate down.
King pondered how much Horne-Francis’ attitude was affecting his teammates and his own individual performance, asking whether the fiery youngster would grow past this phase of his career.
Cornes on the other hand has no concerns whatsoever with how Horne-Francis goes about his footy, pointing to the statistics and output he’s producing on a consistent basis.
