BALLINA
Race 5 | 2. Absolutelysmashing
Resumes today and the scratchings have helped this horses horror draw a lot. Its first start at Ipswich was a slight bit tougher than this so back to this type of field makes me confident. Going to need a smidge of luck as always cause the draw is a little sticky but has the speed early to be able to control this race. Race experience coupled with maturity means this horse should be better than its first start and if she is, she'll win.
Race 6 | 3. Aldeenaary
This is much easier than the last couple and back in distance and from a good gate, I am hoping Thornton goes forward. His third up form isn't amazing but again this is an easier race. I cant see a huge amount of speed so Champagne who is the danger will get back from that gate. The Good track is a big win. A will need to get out rolling at some stage and needs to be unimpeded with the weight. If he gets that, he will grind this group into the ground!
PENOLA
Race 2 | 8. Impending Fury
Second time at the 1600m holds him in good stead after a decent first crack last start at it. Should be able to roll over from the gate and find the lead fairly easy based on not much other speed. This might even be a touch easier than last and expect this gelding to hold them off late.
Race 6 | 1. Santastico
This is an easier rice and he comes back a smidge in distance which is a big plus as well then his last start where he was good. He's drawn really well, jockeys in wonderful nick, and weight never really seems to bother him. Good tarck is his jam and outside of Kova (the danger) he will get away with controlling the race and should win!
Race 8 | 8. Lady Lupara
Drawn perfectly to stalk the speed which cant be said for a few of the favoured runners. She was really good two back over this distance and then poor but these stayers can mix their form so I’ll forgive. Good track not an issue and the claim is great where she carries a low weight. Sometimes in these races, easiest run wins and I expect her to get that and be tough late.

Campbell Brown
TOWNSVILLE
Race 4 | 5. Storm Capital
One of my brownbookers from last start where it was back last the fence and weaved home for a fast finishing third first run for new stable. Up to 1200m helps, barrier not ideal. Come up short enough but should be winning $2.80.
BALLINA
Race 3 | 4. Agent Max
Debut run was good. Then went on with it next start when jumped, led, controlled tempo and kicked away to win comfortably. Should attempt similar tactics. $2.90.
PENOLA
Race 5 | 5. Chairman
On quick back up after racing sunday at the Bool. Easier race and with only 7 runners expecting alana to lead and control things. If gets its own way in front. They wont be running him down.
