Joe Pride will saddle up a promising and progressive horse at Newcastle this weekend.
Bullets High races in the Benchmark-78 at Newcastle (Race 4) were he will likely jump a firm favourite.
The four-year-old gelding is coming off a close up second to Battleton at Rosehill on November 2 and Pride is extremely bullish on a horse be believes can reach a decent level.
“I like this horse, I’ve got a lot of time for him,” Pride said of Bullets High on SENTrack’s Giddy Up.
“He’s a bit dumb and immature still but he’s got a stack of talent. I think when it all comes together for him he’s going to win a couple of nice races for us.
“Those sort of horses generally win these races along the way. To be fair to his opposition it’s only a moderate lineup.
“I would like to think he’d take care of those horses if he’s headed to where I think he is.”
Asked which horse is the stable’s best winning chance this weekend, Pride replied: “Easily Bullets High.”
Nash Rawiller will again ride Bullets High who jumps from barrier 5 and is currently rated as the $2.50 favourite with Sportsbet.
The son of Ace High has three wins and three placings from 10 career starts to his name.
