Why Price & Kent want $41 chance to run at Caulfield

The Price/Kent stable are hoping they can get Jessica Rabbit into field for the Group 3 fillies race at Caulfield on Saturday.
The three-year-old Written Tycoon filly is currently the emergency for the $1 million Move To Strike Thoroughbred Club Stakes over 1200m on CF Orr Stakes Day.
She’s also nominated for a very winnable Geelong maiden on Friday, but the stable would rather have her in at Caulfield if they are afforded the run.
Jessica Rabbit ran second on debut to Chergui at Ballarat on October 24 and can run a big race at huge odds this weekend.
Watch her debut below:
“If she gets a start at Caulfield she’s definitely running there,” Michael Kent Jnr said on SENTrack & RSN’s Giddy Up.
“I spoke to the breeder and owner Mr Robert Crabtree yesterday and black type is the ultimate goal for her. We can always win a maiden. She’s Saturday class or better.
“It was a huge debut from her. I know Chergui was disappointing yesterday (when fourth) but he didn’t have much luck. They gapped third by about eight lengths, she posted pretty impressive late sectionals and she can only improve.
“We’ve always liked her. If we could have a soft run in that big race at Caulfield… look, it will be very hard to beat My Gladiola but if she could sneak in to a place that would be absolutely fantastic.
“If she doesn’t get a run then we’d expect her to be very hard to beat at Geelong. She should win.”
Jessica Rabbit is currently $41 for the lucrative Group 3 with Sportsbet.
Co-trainer Mick Price had a very similar view on the emerging filly.
“If I run Robert Crabtree’s horse, Jessica Rabbit, on Friday in the maiden (at Geelong) she’ll win,” he said on SENTrack on Wednesday.
“She is in the $1 million race (at Caulfield) which I have to talk to him about. But she’s a really nice filly.”
John McArdle’s My Gladiola is the current $2.05 favourite for the Move To Strike ahead of the Freedmans’ Inkaruna ($5) and Chris Waller’s Surf’s Up ($12).
Beau Mertens is booked to ride Jessica Rabbit at Geelong.
