Fairgray: Yulong "fortunate" for Mr Zhang's Magic Millions Sales return
Yulong Investments are back for another year of Magic Millions Sales, keen on finding their next money-making horse.
Yulong recently bought Devil Night in 2024’s sale for $1.4 million, who went on to win the $2 million Blue Diamond a year later – now they want to replicate that exact same investment.
Most notably about Yulong’s return to the sale, is their boss – billionaire Chinese businessman Mr Zhang – has arrived back to Australia after missing the 2025 Spring Carnival.
Sam Fairgray, the COO at Yulong Investments opened up on SENTrack & RSN’s Giddy Up about how fortunate the Yulong team are to have Mr Zhang with them for this Magic Millions Sales.
“It’s no surprise (he wasn’t here in the spring), he's a busy man, he has a lot of business to do in China,” Fairgray stated.
“As he's seen the farm and business grow, the confidence has grown and he can just leave us to it.
“We're fortunate that Mr Zhang can find the time and be here with us.”
When asked about what the plan is for this year’s sales, Fairgray admitted that Yulong will be both buying and selling.
“It'll be a mix (of buying and selling)”, the Yulong COO revealed.
“We'll still look to buy some colts and some fillies, obviously.
“We've done our homework, and we'll go around again today and have our second and third looks and see what we can, that we'd like to take home.
“Definitely (still buying).”
With the sale running from January 13 to 18, let’s see if Yulong can find their next star to join their green and white brigade.
