Monday best bets from Luke & Brown (10/11)
Cam Luke & Campbell Brown have your Monday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a look at Mornington, Lismore & Mount Isa to bring the Track family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
Cam Luke
Mornington: Race 5, No.4 - Missile GirlHas had a freshen up with a couple of tick over jump outs. Was pretty good last time out at Sale with the winner going on to win since. Shouldn’t be too far away from that gate, should stalk the speed and with the claim be very hard to hold out back to this grade!
Mornington: Race 6, No.7 - Scream (each-way)Never goes well first-up but almost always bounces back second-up! Stays at the 1000m which I think is really good idea, inside gate means he either holds the fence and leads or box seats. Soft track no concern and has won here before. This is much easier than last start and I expect this bloke to run a hell of a race.
Lismore: Race 1, No.3 - Giddy Gan's JoyDidn’t handle the grade or the two miles at the Gold Coast and drops back to easier grade and distance. Bask on a good track also a big plus! Won’t go around a horse from the gate and there is a little speed (Flaming Genesis) but he is having his first crack at 2100m. I’d assume the jockey might try and turn this into a staying test and that’s the difference here for me!
Lismore: Race 4, No.2 - Lady AlabamaPresents to get away with a soft, soft lead. Stays at the 1310m which has been a success for this girl and beat Gold Puma before. 1.5kg claim again works and good track is perfect! The form of the last BM58 here is a smidge better than this and I expect her to be really hard to run down!
Campbell Brown
Mount Isa: Race 5, No.9 - The Last CrusadeGood win last start here over same trip, has drawn barrier 1 today so will get run of the race. Great track/trip record and jockey knows him well. $4.60 looks a nice price.
Lismore: Race 3, No.8 - Copenhagen CatRespecting the well backed debutant from an astute stable. But I am leaning towards race experience here and Copenhagen Cat is racing well. Placed in last two and draws to lead. Take catching $3.70.
Mornington: Race 4, No.12 - Path To ProfitDebut was good and did a bit wrong last start. Is short but third-up today should break the maiden at $2.
