Cam Luke & Campbell Brown have your Monday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a look at Tamworth, Albury, Pakenham & Longreach to bring the Track family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
Cam Luke
Tamworth: Race 6, No.3 - TAVROSNeeds further no doubt deeper into the prep but is the class horse of the race. Always runs well here at the home track and there is a bit of speed which will help him in Poseidon’s Son & Prince of Sepang. Track drying helps and Aaron Bullock signals intent. Will go very close!!
Tamworth: Race 7, No.2 - THIS ONE TIMEBarriers win races and that’s why I’m leaning this way rather than Sagaponack. They’ll both go forward but TOT will hold fence. This is tougher but she meets every challenge and she feels a nice progressive filly. Little freshen up and staying at the 1000 helps. Firmer track also better for her and she will be the one they have to catch.
Albury: Race 6, No.12 - JANNIKLoves the slop, Albury and is well weighted considering the race doesn’t read as strong as it probably should. No doubt it’s tougher than last start where it beat them but Jato is in the market and in the same boat and she has a query over the Heavy. Back to the 1400 isn’t a concern with the track being a bog. Gate 6 will work nicely as I assume they might be coming wider by this time and if runs up to last start ‘Sinner’ will go close!
Albury: Race 7, No.2 - BELLMANBack from the 2000 suits here! Normally runs well over the Albury Mile albeit without winning and the same can be said about the Heavy track. We will get a mini guide as it got beat by Jannik two starts back and I like him in race before. Not a huge a lot of heavy track form in this race. Imposing Tallulah is one and she will go forward but she finished two lengths behind Bellman last start and all things luck, I can't see her turning the tables here although she will make her own luck on pace.
Pakenham: Race 3, No.7 - SECRET BEAUWas decent on debut and expect him to improve off that! Key scratching helps him and from that gate he will control the race and be very hard to run down. Goes up to the 1200 which will help fitness against the Hayes horse Deccan Odyssey who has talent but probably needs the run 1st up. The fact he debuted on the Syntho also I like.
Pakenham: Race 5, No.2 - SUPER SOLARJust beaten by Laugh With Me here last start and with the claim gets a weight swing. Had a month between runs last start and quicker turnaround will help fitness. Loves the Syntho and staying at 1600 works also. Gate needs some luck but no doubt he is horse who always runs well and I expect the same here today!!
Campbell Brown
Pakenham: Race 3, No.3 - DECCAN ODYSSEYGood trial leading into today, and form around him last prep was nice. Should lead. $2.70.
Albury: Race 3, No.2 - BLAZING SWORDWill handle these heavy conditions. Is an honest competitor, short enough but deserves a win.
Tamworth: Race 5, No.2 - HIMORHEROdd ride last start. Looking for a more positive ride today at $4.
Longreach: Race 4, No.4 - CROWN REACHGood win last start and will jump and lead again today. Expect him to be very hard to beat again $6 each-way.
