Which AFL young gun is set to break out in season 2025?
You could say that Will Ashcroft has already broken out given he won this year’s Norm Smith Medal, but there is the possibility that he could go to the next level in 2025 if he plays a full season.
The talented Brisbane Lion is being tipped to fully break out next season, according to responses from SEN’s AFL Fan Survey.
Ashcroft has so far received over 22 per cent of the votes, presently edging out Western Bulldogs star-in-the-making Sam Darcy who comes in a tick under 21 per cent.
There is a little gap back to third who is West Coast’s No.1 draft pick from 2023, Harley Reid. The talented Eagle has received just over 15 per cent of the votes.
In fourth is North Melbourne’s George Wardlaw with 6.9 per cent ahead of Adelaide’s Riley Thilthorpe on 6.2 per cent and Geelong’s best and fairest Max Holmes on 5.9 per cent.
