Private Harry co-owner’s massive Everest call

Private Harry is “low-flying” and will take a hell of a lot of beating in the $20 million Everest this year.
The unbeaten Private Harry, trained by Nathan Doyle, is a genuine chance to take out the world’s richest turf race at Royal Randwick on October 18, according to the horse’s co-owner Sean Driver from Kurrinda Bloodstock.
Superstar Hong Kong sprinter Ka Ying Rising presents as a major test for the son of Harry Angel but Driver is remarkably confident.
He believes the four-year-old is perfectly placed to climb The Everest this spring.
“I don’t think he’ll get beat,” Driver said on SENTrack’s Giddy Up.
“I’m very confident. He’s low-flying.
“It’s not arrogance, it’s just that this horse is a freak. He’s come back better again.
“If they think they’re going to come over and just get it easy they’ll be surprised, that’s for sure.”
Racing powerhouse Yulong Investments, who purchased 50 per cent of Private Harry in March, owns the Group 1 Galaxy winner’s slot for this year’s Everest.
Private Harry is currently the $6 second favourite with Sportsbet for The Everest, behind hot favourite Ka Ying Rising at $1.60.
