SENQ 693am readies for a big summer of cricket as the Ashes head to Brisbane
Brisbane cricket fans are in for a treat as SENQ 693am delivers wall-to-wall coverage in the lead-up to the 2nd Ashes Test at The Gabba, starting Thursday, December 4.
Next week marks the final week on air for 2025 for Breakfast with Coz & Heals, with Corey Parker and Ian Healy on air each morning sharing their trademark insights and analysis. Audiences will enjoy Healy’s expert perspective as anticipation builds for the pink-ball clash at one of cricket’s most iconic venues.
Following an unforgettable opening Ashes Test in Perth, SEN Cricket will again bring every ball of the action live from the Gabba. Running from December 4 to 8, the 2nd day-night Test will have cricket coverage from 12pm AEST and play commencing at 2pm AEST each day, with fans eager to see how both sides handle the swing of the pink ball under lights.
SEN Cricket’s acclaimed commentary team returns in Brisbane, featuring Gerard Whateley, Bharat Sundaresan, Stuart Broad, Lisa Sthalekar, Damien Fleming, Simon Katich, Adam Collins, Tom Morris and – of course – Ian Healy, ensuring fans don’t miss a moment of the action. Plus, The New Ball will be back on air before each day’s play, delivering sharp analysis and insider stories from the heart of the Ashes.
After one year together, Breakfast with Coz & Heals will return to SENQ 693am in 2026, starting on Tuesday, January 27, raring to go for another year of setting the agenda for Queensland sports fans.
This comes on the back of the GfK Radio 360 results released today, which showed some green shoots for SENQ 693am, particularly with Males 25-54 year olds increasing to a 18.4% Share, and strong Queensland digital* consumption across the same period with Breakfast with Coz & Heals streaming numbers at 32,933 (+275% YoY), 43,265 podcast downloads (+85% YoY) and Queensland total app and web users at 315,654 (+26% YoY).
