The horse to beat in the 2025 Group 1 Caulfield Guineas
The Group 1 Caulfield Guineas for three-year-olds will be run over 1600m at Caulfield on Saturday.
Private Life won last year’s edition after Griff (2023), Golden Mile (2022), Anamoe (2021) and Ole Kirk (2020) win before him.
Snapshot of the race below:

It feels the horse to beat is AUTUMN BOY despite his failure in the Golden Rose last weekend.
His form prior was excellent and the Sydney form appears somewhat stronger.
Damian Lane and Chris Waller combined to win last year’s Guineas with Private Life and there’s no reason to suggest history won’t repeat.
He does have to improve dramatically off last weekend’s run but Waller is generally good at getting them right for the big ones.
VINROCK can bounce back after he was utterly luckless in the Stutt at The Valley last Friday night.
He was slow away, got bumped early and could never recover before running ok into fifth.
With more luck and if quicker away from a wide draw he can feature prominently.
WODETON must be included and given a strong chance while ROMANTIC ENCOUNTER is worth a look at massive odds.
It’s a wide open affair so the chances don’t end there with OBSERVER, WEST OF SWINDON, NAVY PILOT, NEPOTISM and SPACE RIDER all with a hope or two.
Selections
9 - Autumn Boy3 - Vinrock2 - Wodeton15 - Romantic Encounter
