SANDOWN
Race 2 | 7. Butternut Princess
I loved her last week to turn the tables on silent shares and she got scratched and then silent shares come out and went whack with my money. This race sets up perfectly for Butternut Princess. She will go forward from that gate, has no weight on her back thanks for the Cartwright claim and I highly doubt they’ll be able to run her down. Mistrustful is the danger runs well third up although a drying track in the glorious Melbourne sun might hurt her a tad. Butternut Princess is short at $2.40 but I’d be stunned if she doesn’t win the race!
Race 6 | 3. Climb The Ladder
Forget the resuming run on the bog in Sydney as he is back in Melbourne for these conditions. He has run two really nice races in Melbourne including here! He likes the space of Sandown and can stalk the speed of fav Damehood who has the Bossy Benita form. He has been given time since the 1st up run to recover and Lane on board will give him a steer! Will be very hard to beat!!
Race 7 | 9. Documentary
I was on him at Flemington when he just didn’t letdown the Flemington straight albeit he pulled up a little lame. This is an easier race and maybe he’s a horse who enjoys going around the bend. There is a little bit of speed in the race (headlined by Princess Que) so Zahra can allow the horse to find a rhythm 3 pairs back and shall the speed. He is a nice horse and if we get the bloke who has shown that prior to last start , he will be very hard to beat! Sun Setting is the danger. Gets to 1200m first time and his run last start and should have nearly won! They are my only two in the Quaddie.
WARWICK FARM
Race 4 | 4. Prima Bella
Was a huge win here last start three wide on pace and is a very very tough girl. Staying at the 1000m helps as she will go sit outside the fave in Bev’s 9 and I think they’ll go quick. She is in amazing form this prep and mare in form ect ect. She is easily the best Heavy track horse in the race and her toughness will be a huge advantage again late.
Race 5 | 2. Kapakiri
Should have finished closer last start when there was excuses and still hit the line really well. Gets to the mile after a little freshen up with JMac on and out to 1600m all ticks. Small field so will go close to getting run of the race and although he’s a horse that probably needs a little bit further. I think today set up off a five week freshen is perfect. Fairway Star is fave and deserves it after last start but Heavy track form a major concern.
Race 7 | 14. Ringarosa
LOVES the conditions and has run well here before. Ignore the horrible numbers next to 1200m as it’s circumstance not distance concern. Was pretty good last start stalking the speed only just bobbed out by Tagg’s fave horse Slinky who had the drop! Has won fourth up before and she always run well with Collett in the saddle.

SANDOWN
Race 2 | 7. Butternut Princess
Has been knocking on the door of late and she should fine this slightly easier to what she’s been racing in. Draws soft, gets a 3 kilos claim for an inform apprentice and is obviously going to be hard to beat.
Race 6 | 5. Nepravda
Was no match for the winner when she resumed but she did fight all the way to the line. She will find this easier and she strips fitter for that first up hit out. Will put herself into the race and is a great each-way play.
