Wednesday best bets from Taggart & Pfitzner (10/09)
Miles Pfitzner & David Taggart have your Wednesday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Sandown, Canterbury & Balaklava in a bid to find the family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
Miles Pfitzner
SANDOWN
Race 5 | 10. Dramaticus
Nearly broke the clock late, last start with his last 200 dead set airborne. Weak enough setup here and by this race should know conditions.
Race 6 | 10. Kirribilli
Had stakes for against some of these that might be just. His late times and the horses he’s been around suggest he might just be better than these. Stable flying.
CANTERBURY
Race 5 | 11. Central Coast
Has one danger in this race being the blade. We pay jmac tax here but looks nearly the best on the card.
Race 6 | 3. Mergeila
Again Waller and j mac bit have been waiting for this horse for some time. I don’t think this is deep. Exposed form is good enough for these.
BALAKLAVA
Race 4 | 13. Fiabesca
Blue hotel form reeks of pick me. Quote now short enough but most people are going to have this as on top. Needs a steer.
Race 9 | 9. Pudding
I think heennsokid enough in Melbourne and comes to a weak enough balak cup. No mare or filly has won in the last 25 years.
David Taggart
SANDOWN
Race 1 | 6. Regal Award
Was a beaten favourite first up in a handy race at the Valley. Didn’t have any luck at all and deserves another chance with Shinn now taking the ride who I expect to go forward and control the race on him.
Race 3 | 2. Yamashita's Gold
Had a change of luck last start and was given a good steer to win. There is no reason why he can’t win again as he comes out of better form races than the others.
Race 8 | 2. Le Ferrari (each-way)
Is an interesting runner resuming. Has trialled up well for this but has really no fresh form to speak of. This is his pet trip and he’s undefeated here with the good track in his favour. Also this is the weakest race he’s contested for a while.
CANTERBURY
Race 6 | 6. Akaysha
Resumes and she is a filly with ability. Defeated the very talented Beadman on debut and ended up being placed in a listed race at the end of last prep. Draws pole to get the gun run.
