Pfitzner: The hype on 2YO horses MUST stop

Miles Pfitzner has delivered a stern message to all punters and racing experts: stop overhyping two-year-old horses!
The SENTrack racing analyst delivered this message after Hard Kick disappointed at Flemington on Saturday.
Prior to his loss, the gelding was $8.50 with Sportsbet to win the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes in the spring, off the back of only one race, but now Hard Kick has dramatically drifted in the odds.
Speaking on SENTrack’s Betfair Layback, Pfitzner exclaimed that the market overreactions on juvenile horses must stop, and punters should steer clear of betting on two-year-old races.
“This two-year-old hype has got to stop!” Pfitzner stated.
“This overreaction for two-year-olds and market overreaction; you're punting on babies.
“Stay away from these races. Like, you've got to win odds-on on two-year-olds.
“Take them on (on Betfair) because you're not losing a lot. You’ve got to take these two-year-olds on, they are babies.
“There's a reason why stacks of them go through the system. There's a reason why stacks of them don't turn up. They decide one week that they're on, then they decide the next week they're off. They are pups!”
The racing analyst continued by calling out form experts who declare two-year-olds as morals to win, explaining that those declarations are simply irresponsible.
“It's more the expert side of things… I don't feel comfortable with juveniles from experts being declared living breathing (morals). It’s irresponsible,” said Pfitzner.
“Get on and lay them. The experts have got to be better.
“How many times have we heard it? We've heard it in Slippers, Blue Diamonds and all other two-year-old races. The market sucks on two-year-olds!”
