King re-signs: Three more years of Fireball
Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) is delighted to announce that David King has signed a new three-year deal with the network, ensuring one of Australia’s most respected AFL analysts remains on SEN through to the end of 2028.
King’s recommitment follows the announcement in October that Kane Cornes extended his contract with SEN, locking in another three years of Fireball with Kane & Kingy as part of SEN Breakfast on Mondays and Fridays.
The announcement comes as the GfK Radio 360 Survey 7 results released today delivering a 3.3% Share All People 10+ and a cumulative audience of 367,000.
Before Fireball and other regular programming on SEN 1116am returns to the airwaves in 2026, SEN listeners can look forward to a huge summer of sport right across the SEN network.
SEN Cricket will broadcast every ball of the 2025-26 Ashes Test series, featuring a world-class commentary team including Stuart Broad, Gerard Whateley, Bharat Sundaresan, Ian Healy, Lisa Sthalekar, Damien Fleming, Simon Katich, Adam Collins and Tom Morris. Fans can also enjoy The New Ball for pre-game analysis and insider stories from the heart of the Ashes. SEN will also deliver every game of BBL|15 live, backed by its Big Bash Nation commentary team and innovative SEN Stadium and SEN Sync technology for the ultimate fan experience.
From December 4 to 7, SEN will be broadcasting the 2025 Crown Australian Open, which returns to the iconic Royal Melbourne Golf Club, headlined by Rory McIlroy alongside Aussie stars Cam Smith, Adam Scott, Min Woo Lee, Marc Leishman and Lucas Herbert. This year’s event promises to be the biggest in history, with a stellar international field competing for the Stonehaven Cup.
In January the Summer of tennis will fire up with SEN once again broadcasting the Australian Open 2026 at Melbourne Park.
SEN will also continue its expanded NFL partnership, broadcasting live games every Monday morning, plus full postseason coverage with expert commentary from Ben Graham and Jordan Kounelis, plus the Super Bowl with Gerard Whateley.
Sam Thompson, Group Radio Director at SEN, said that although 2025 was drawing to a close, programming across the network was far from slowing down.
“David King’s recommitment is a huge win for SEN and our audience. Alongside Kane Cornes, Kingy brings unmatched insight and energy to Fireball, and we’re thrilled to lock in this dynamic duo for years to come. Coupled with our unrivalled summer coverage – from the Ashes and BBL to the Australian Open Golf and NFL – SEN remains the home of sport for fans across Australia.”
