Mo Toure is under an injury cloud but he’s still the most likely to score for the Socceroos in their FIFA World Cup 2026 opener.
Data from sports predictions and insights site Dimers tells us that Toure is a 14.3% chance of scoring against Türkiye in Vancouver on Sunday from 2pm AEST.
So, provided Toure alleviates Aussie fears and plays, then he’s the man predicted to most likely hit the back of the net in green and gold.
Former Italy U21 international Cristian Volpato, who will make his World Cup debut for Australia after one friendly appearance for his country of birth, is rated a 10.3% chance of scoring in the Group D opener.
Both players are predicted to have at least one shot on goal.
Projected shots data suggests that chances will be limited for the 27th ranked Socceroos against the Turkish outfit that is ranked 23rd.
