FBI "investigating" Argentina over millions as superstar joins half-time show

Argentina are reportedly being investigated by the FBI amid reports hundreds of millions of dollars in sponsorship money has been laundered though banks in America.
According to Argentine news paper La Nacion, almost $400m went through a company in Florida which was used to gather payments from the Argentina Football Association's (AFA) foreign sponsors and partners.
The media outlets also claims a further $70m in transfers "with no clear purpose" is being investigated.
Federal prosecutors in Washington DC and Miami are understood to be looking into the AFA's financial dealings on US soil across five banks and a company called TourProdEnter LLC.
No wrong doing has been determined as yet.
AFA North America ambassador Tomás Regalado said: “Investigative measures alone do not determine responsibility or guilt.”
FORMAL COMPLAINT
Amid claims the World Cup is rigged, Egypt have filed an official complaint to FIFA for the referee's performance during their clash against Argentina.
The reigning champions came from 0-2 down to claim a 3-2 win and a spot in the quarter-finals, but numerous controversial calls from the ref marred the match.
Egyptian Football Association president Hany Abo Rida confirmed a formal complaint against referee Francois Letexier has now been submitted.
“Hany Abou Rida, president of the Egyptian football federation, filed a complaint with Fifa, demanding an investigation into the French referee Francois Letexier after the serious refereeing mistakes committed by the team of referees and double standards, which caused the Egypt team to lose the match and leave the World Cup," a statement said.
Zico was furious after the final whistle saying the Cup was rigged.
“It was a rigged game. It wasn’t our fault. That referee… it seems like this match was rigged.
“We were winning 2-0, and he kept coming at us.
“Congratulations to Argentina on another World Cup, it seems.”
HALF_TIME SHOW
Justin Bieber has been added to the line-up for the first ever World cup final half-time show.
Madonna, Shakira and BTS were already announced but the Canadian singer will now play a role in the 11-minute show on July 20 (AEST).
“The Fifa World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can," Bieber said.
“I’m grateful to be part of this half-time show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world.”
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is putting the show together.
ENGLAND UPDATE
England star Jordan Henderson is back with the team after undergoing surgery on his arm.
The Brentford player suffered a freak injury after he fell over advertising boards at the Azteca Stadium on Monday (AEST) following England's incredible victory over Mexico.
Henderson is now back in Kansas with his teammates before the travel to Miami for a quarter-final clash with Norway.
“Surgery done! Let’s get ready for the big one Saturday," he wrote on Instagram with an image from his hospital bed.
“Thank you to all the staff that looked after me at Kansas City orthopaedic institute. Especially the three surgeons who carried out the operation.”
