Insane weather forces Geelong Cup abandonment
Racegoers in Geelong have been evacuated from the Geelong Cup as wild winds and weather battered suburbs across Victoria.
An indefinite delay to racing was announced at 2:15pm with the event cancelled for the day by 3pm.
Weather agencies warned worse was to come.
Event organisers are yet to decide when the remaining race will be run.
