WATCH: Premier League player sent off for hitting his own teammate
In the most bizarre of circumstances in the Premier League, Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye has been sent off for hitting his own teammate.

Just 13 minutes into Everton’s clash with Manchester United, Gueye engaged in a heated exchange with centre back Michael Keane, going face-to-face with his teammate and waving his arms in fury.
Keane shoved Gueye, who promptly slapped Keane across the face, with referee Tony Harrington issuing the 36-year-old a straight red card in the early stages of Monday night’s contest.
The incident was confirmed by VAR, deeming Gueye’s action violent conduct.
Incredibly, Everton would go on to win 1-0 at Old Trafford, becoming the first team in Premier League history to win at the storied stadium with a man sent off.
A 29th minute strike from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was the difference, with Everton now level on points with United in mid-table.
