SEN congratulates Mat Rogers on induction to Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame
Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) proudly congratulates SEN Gold Coast’s own Mat Rogers on his induction into the Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame.
The dual‑code rugby great and Sportsday host – who broadcasts from SEN’s Gold Coast studios in Varsity Lakes – was officially honoured at the Gold Coast Sports Awards this weekend.
Rogers, who grew up on the Gold Coast, is one of Australia’s most decorated cross‑code athletes, having represented the Kangaroos in rugby league and the Wallabies in rugby union during a remarkable professional career. His achievements with Cronulla, the Gold Coast Titans, and on the international stage have long made him an iconic figure in Australian sport.
Today, Rogers continues to contribute to the national sporting landscape from his home- town as a valued member of the SEN on‑air team, bringing his insight, energy and lived experience to listeners across the country.
SEN CEO, Craig Hutchison, congratulated Rogers on the well-deserved recognition.
“Everyone at SEN is incredibly proud to see Mat recognised with this honour. His achievements across two football codes place him in rare company, but it’s the way he carries himself - humble, generous with his time and deeply committed to his community - that truly sets him apart.
*“Mat has become an important part of our SEN family, sharing his stories, his knowledge and his passion for all sport with our audience every week. His induction into the Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame is richly deserved, and we’re thrilled to celebrate this milestone with him.” *
