Origin Teams: Walsh makes Maroons return as Kiwi starts
SEN • June 8th, 2026 7:11 pm

After a historic 20-point comeback in Game I, which was sealed in the final minute, New South Wales currently has one hand on the shield as Laurie Daley looks to secure his second series win as coach in seven attempts.
Queensland, who is hoping to keep the series alive into a Game III decider at Suncorp Stadium, have brought four new faces from their Game I side.
Reece Walsh, Murray Taulagi and Heilum Luki come into the squad, with Gehamat Shibasaki and Patrick Carrigan out due to injury, while Ezra Mam has been dropped.
Briton Nikora has been promoted from the extended bench into the starting line-up, while Kulikefu Finefeuiaki goes from 20th man reserve to the bench.
Game II takes place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on June 17.
SEN will have THREE different live calls off the match, appealing to all fans who can listen to either Maroons or Blues Radio alongside our neutral Origin LIVE commentary feed.
All three can be heard across the nation on our radio network and on the SEN app from 7pm AEST, with the match beginning at 8:05pm.
