Despite being bitter rivals, Everton have helped Liverpool’s chances of being crown Premier League champions this season after they drew with Arsenal overnight.
The Toffee’s went into halftime down 1-0, after Leandro Trossard scored in the 34th minute to bring up his fifth goal for the Premier League season.
But the lead wouldn’t last long as within a minute of the second half beginning, Everton were awarded a penalty which Iliman Ndiaye buried with ease.
The 1-1 draw leaves the Gunners 11 points behind Liverpool, with the Reds having a game in hand.
There’s now only seven more matches left for the Gunners to try and chase down top spot, with clashes against Newcastle and Liverpool in May proving to be difficult contests that could hold them back from winning the title.

Aston Villa’s hope of finishing in a Champions League spot for the second straight season has taken a massive boost as they defeated Nottingham Forest 2-1 at Villa Park.
Unai Emery’s squad came bursting out of the blocks early in this contest, firing home two goals within 15 minutes of the contest to put the third place Forest side well and truly on the back foot.
The early work from Morgan Rogers and Donyell Malen proved to be the difference in the end, as the Villans now move within one point of the top four and six points within third place.
Wolverhampton have further strengthened their spot in the Premier League for another season after they walked away 2-1 victors over Ipswich Town away from home.
Wolves had to fight hard for the victory this week, as it took until the 72nd minute to finally find an equaliser after Liam Delap sent Ipswich ahead inside 16 minutes.
After their equaliser, Jorgen Strand Larsen figured it was best to walk with a win for his side, as he dispatched the go-ahead goal to send the Wolves 12 points clear of the drop zone.
West Ham and Bournemouth would both be frustrated with how their afternoons played out, as the sides walked away with only a point from their contest.
The Cherries dominated the beginning of the match, leading 1-0 inside the first 40 minutes and easily could’ve been up by more.
To the Hammers’ credit, they came out in the second half firing and were able to find goals in the 61st and 68th minute, handing them a 2-1 lead heading into the final 20 minutes of the match.
The Hammer’s have been starved of victories recently, with their last win coming all the way back in February when they defeated Leicester City at home.
Their 10th win would have to wait another week however, with the Cherries finding an equaliser in the 79th minute thanks to Brazilian striker Evanilson scoring his second of the match to see Bournemouth rise from 10th to ninth on the Premier League table.
In one of the more entertaining matches of the Premier League season, Crystal Palace have walked away 2-1 winners over Brighton to bring them within two points of the top 10.
Jean-Phillippe Mateta buried a stunning strike in the third minute of the match to send Selhurst Park rocking, before Danny Welbeck toe-poked a much needed equaliser in the 31st minute to send the contest level into half time.
A wonderful Daniel Munoz strike gave the Eagles the lead, before the home side were reduced to 10 men after Edward Nketiah brought up his second yellow card of the contest.
But the drama didn’t stop there, as Marc Guehi found himself in hot water when he picked up his second yellow as well and was subsequently sent off, leaving Crystal Palace down to nine men within the 90th minute.
Six minutes later, Jan Paul van Hecke’s day ended early as he also picked up his second yellow card for the game and was sent off, leaving Brighton one man down for the final six minutes of the contest.
Ultimately, after three red cards and two stunning goals, Crystal Palace walked away with their 11th win of the season.
Ange’s time as Tottenham manager could be on a knife’s edge if his side can’t defeat bottom of the table Southampton, who they face on Sunday night.
