SEN cleans up at WA Footy Media Guild Awards

Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) is proud to celebrate three of its team members who were recognised at the prestigious WA Footy Media Guild Awards last night. The annual event – which celebrates excellence in football media across Western Australia – honours the best in radio, television, print and digital coverage, as well as behind-the-scenes contributions that keep the game connected to fans.
Mark Duffield received the Dennis Cometti Award for Excellence Over a Career, a tribute to his decades of dedication and influence in football journalism. This award acknowledges individuals who have made a significant contribution to the game over a substantial period, and Mark’s work has shaped the way fans experience and understand football in Western Australia.
Kris Klifunis was recognised with the Best Off-Air Performer Award, which celebrates the vital contributions of those working behind the scenes. Kris’s tireless efforts as SEN WA’s Breakfast Producer (working with Adam Simpson, Tim Gossage and Scott Cummings) ensures SEN’s content remained the highest quality throughout the season, making him an indispensable part of the team.
Adam Simpson was awarded the Tracey Lewis Emerging Media Talent Award, which recognises the best new talent in football media. This honour is reserved for individuals who have been working in mainstream football media for less than three years, and Adam’s fresh perspective and dynamic approach to coverage have quickly made him a standout voice in the industry.
SEN CEO, Craig Hutchison, congratulated the winners, stating that this recognition was an example of SEN attracting the highest-quality on- and off-air talent in the sports industry.
